Oh, the places we'll go

The world unfolds one story at a time

CityTools is a citizen journalism and social news platform that spans the globe -- but has a local viewpoint in every place you find it.

We offer the ability to create stories, share stories, create dynamic lists that can be combined to form a consensus viewpoint and we do it all within the context of a geographic engine that allows you to find/create content down to the neighborhood level.

Plus we offer exciting ways for teams of people -- civic organization, families, school groups, whomever -- to combine their skills to publish online with plenty of control and power. And the results of that work don't just appear on CityTools -- you can place them on your own web page and all teams have their own RSS channel.

CityTools is young, but we think pretty exciting. On the links below you'll find details on the features organized by area. In addition, we provide a separate paid product for publishers that allows them to share information in exciting ways

In the words of Dr. Seuss, "With your head full of brains and your shoes full of feet... oh the places you'll go."
