The category mapping wizard overview

Like all wizards, the actual process itself takes a couple of minutes, but we spend a bit of time explaining it in case you want some extra info.

The category mapping wizard divides the process into several bite-sized chunks.

On the first page of the wizard, you will be asked to upload the classified dump file that you IT department provided you with.

Click on the “browse” button and this will open a box in your browser that you can use to navigate over to the file. When you find the file, click on it and then click the “open" button in the browser window.

Your browser window will now close and you'll see a reference to the file in the “file to upload” portion of the CityTools form.

On the map wizard form click on the radio button that tells us what kind of file this is (XML, CSV, Morris) and then click "upload data button."

This transfers a copy of the file to us. When we get it, our servers read through the file to make sure that it can be decoded and, if there are no errors, we automatically transfer you to the next step.
