Control HTML in your downloads
previous page
HTML Policies are set on a network-by-network basis
By default when you join or create a network, limited HTML is permitted. Simple links and image tags may exist in ads fed to you.
A hardline position
All scripts (javascript, etc.) are stripped out of content moved through the CityTools networks because the possibility for malicious behavior is too high. Members may not override this particular setting.
Allow some HTML or deny it all with a single click
Head over to
the My Nets page
and scroll down to the network you want to affect.
On the lower left corner you'll find some text that identifies the current policy with respect to HTML. Below that there is a link that will toggle between "allow some HTML" and "deny all HTML."
Click this link to set the network to behave the way you want. This affects only your downloads from the network. Other members may have their own settings.
In addition, any pending downloads (i.e. content uploaded before you put this policy in place) will remain unchanged. The new policy affects newly uploaded content.
