Welcome to the Fast Track Howto
Each step mirrors the more detailed steps in the main howto, only this is pared to the bone and is designed for people very comfortable with web sites.
If you get stuck, we provide a "detail" link in each section which
takes you to the main howto.
Important
You need the file dump from your IT staff to complete this howto. If you don't know what that is,

Create a CityTools account

Tip: Consider making a test network just to get a feel for things. You can delete it later.

Tip: Several CityTools test networks are available to join. Feel free to join them to kick the tires

Create network categories
(detailed version)
Do this step only if you CREATED a new network above
Head to the "Maps" page
, find the network you made and click the "create network categories button" and fill out the form. Important: one category per line!
When you save the network categories, the data upload and category mapping wizard automatically starts -- complete the wizard.

When the mapping wizard is finished, you're done with your first network and done with this howto.

Upload your data file and map categories

You should do this step if you JOINED an existing network rather than creating one.
Go to the "Map" page and find the network you joined. Click this link that says "Map your categories to the network."
This will launch the category mapping wizard, follow it through to completion.
