How to resign from a network

If you are simply a member of a network

Head over to the "My Nets" page and scroll down to the network from which you want to resign.

Notice the "resign" link on the upper right corner of each network panel. Click on it, confirm the resignation and you have successfully resigned from the network.

If you are the administrator of a network

Yes, it's true, on CityTools you have the flexibility to resign from a network that you administer!

There is a catch -- if the network has other members, before you can resign, you must hand over the administrative responsibilities to another member of the network.

If you are the only member of a network, then when you resign the network itself is deleted.

Head over to the "My Nets" page and scroll down to the network from which you want to resign.

Click on the "admin resign" link on the upper right corner of network you are quitting.

If you are the only member -- or if there is only one other member -- you'll get a simple box where you confirm your resignation. Upon confirmation, if there is another member, that person becomes the new admin, if you were the only member the network is deleted.

If there are two or more members, you will receive a confirmation box with a drop down listing other members. Select someone to assign admin rights to, confirm your desire to resign and you're done!

Whoop, whoop, danger Will Robinson! Danger!

A quick warning: when you resign from a network, all of your personal category mappings, etc you created for that network are blown away and if you later decide to rejoin the network, you will have to reproduce the network set-up process.
