<title>Matthew Broderick on his Ferris Bueller ad: &#x27;I&#x27;m part of a virus&#x27;</title>
<link>http://www.citytools.net/showstory/b20a3bd2-4c9c-11e1-b016-a53691b8d77d/</link>
<description>Millions may have fallen instantly in love with Matthew Broderick&#x26;#39;s Super Bowl ad for Honda, which riffs off his teen classic film &#x26;quot;Ferris Bueller&#x26;#39;s Day Off.&#x26;quot; For Sarah Jessica Parker&#x26;#39;s husband, however, it took a little longer to feel the love.

After pondering the offer for a while, &#x26;quot;I ended up thinking it might be amusing,&#x26;quot; he told New York magazine&#x26;#39;s Vulture column, saying he was swayed by the director and the idea that it could be fun. And now, he said, &#x26;quot;I guess I&#x26;#39;m part of a virus.&#x26;quot;

(That&#x26;#39;s &#x26;quot;going viral,&#x26;quot; of course, but no worries -- the Internet wasn&#x26;#39;t exactly a big deal back in 1986, when Bueller first appeared on the big screen.)

Though the commercial now has about 4 million views on Honda&#x26;#39;s YouTube channel and countless others around the Web, the Bueller &#x26;quot;virus&#x26;quot; apparently has some folks disappointed.&#x3C;a href=&#x22;http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/gossip/2012/01/matthew-broderick-ferris-bueller-super-bowl-ad-honda.html&#x22;&#x3E;[original story]&#x3C;/a&#x3E;</description>
