So I was reading the English language version of Pravada to see how they covered the protests (official verdict: Putin rocks and Kasperov is a pawn of communists AND fascists AND the US... sigh...)
Anyhow, armed with that trenchant analysis of events, I decided to see what else was cooking in Russia in Pravada's view.
If you haven't read the english language version of Pravada, you should: it's a collection of the weird and the wacky (crocodiles biting off arms, dwarf porn stars, they think Daisy Fuentes matters, they're really into weapons and sex and conspiracies in other countries...)
And most of all, there is the great Russian obsession with crypto science.
Today, Pravda had stories on how the underground ocean discovered a few weeks ago is proof of Noah's flood, updates on the mummified dwarf alien that Moscow's top scientists say contains DNA not of this world and the discovery of an oceanic alien that fishermen ate because, well, they were hungry. It was mighty tasty too, it seems.
Mind you, this is the OFFICIAL Russian view of the world, this is the Putin authorized view of the world, this is where they're at...
Every couple of months, I need a Pravda fix just to remind myself how bizarre things really are.... You need on too...
I've provided links to several of these stories in the resource box on the right. Enjoy!
