Ralston Middle School's Running Program

At Ralston, we have a very tough running program. Many kids do not realize that running is good for their health, and think that it is just some punishment. But at Ralston, the 3 fantastic P.E. teachers do a great job at teaching the students why running is important to their health.
Each week every student runs 4 miles in total. Each student has P.E. 4 days a week, but we don't just run a boring 1 mile every P.E. section.
Day 1 : 2/3 mile
Day 2 : 1 mile
Day 3 : 2/3 mile
Day 4 : I 2/3 miles
If you add all of those numbers up, you get 4 miles, or 12/3. And a great thing about our running program is that every student knows her or his mile time, including me.
The Ralston running program is just wonderful and you should appreciate what a great thing P.E. really does by keeping the kids of America healthy and physically fit.
