In what is becoming a frightening trend this season, junior quarterback Nate Longshore was looking up in disbelief Saturday night after throwing a fourth-quarter interception.
Longshore under threw receiver Robert Jordan with a pass that was intercepted by Terrell Thomas in the game's final three minutes, all but sealing USC's 24-17 win on a consistently rainy night in Strawberry Canyon.
"I take the responsibility on myself," said Longshore, who was 13-of-29 for 199 yards. "I need to play better down the stretch to give us a chance to win."
After a sharp start - going 8-of-14 for 123 yards and zero interceptions in the first half - Longshore was 5-of-15 for 76 yards, two interceptions and a fumble in the second half.
