Veet's hairy strategy for Chinese women Estée Lauder and L'Oréal sell skin-whitening creams in China, where women have long been fixated on lighter skin, according to Harriet Evans, a professor of Chinese cultural studies at the University of Westminster. Veet dominates the global market for hair removers with a 41 percent share, five times that of Church Dwight's Nair; Veet's strength makes up for slowing sales in Europe and the United States of some of Reckitt Benckiser's other brands, including Woolite and Vanish toilet bowl cleaner.
